Fixture
News The first few league fixtures have been announced and Poole Town's first three league matches will all be at home. Opening day sees Poole take on Bemerton Heath Harlequins (11th August), followed by newly promoted Alresford Town on 14th August and then Graham Kemp's Christchurch on 21st August. Cup News Saturday 18th August will see Poole in FA Cup action as they start in the extra preliminary round. Draw still to be made. As Poole finished fourth in the league last season they are exempt from the first two qualifying rounds of the FA Vase. The Dolphins will therefore start their campaign on Saturday 6th October in the first round proper. Draw still to be made. The first round of the Wessex League Cup has been made and Poole Town will travel to Verwood Town in the first round. The tie will take place in September - date to be decided. |

News Ex Wimborne Town striker Stuart Cannie has put pen to paper and signed for Poole Town for the coming season. Fixture News The friendly against Dorchester Town on Tuesday 17th July has had to be cancelled at the request of Dorchester. It is hoped another fixture will be slotted in instead. |

Premier League It has been confirmed that the number of clubs in the Wessex Premier League for the 07/08 season will rise from 20 to 23. With Gosport Borough being promoted,
they have effectively been replaced by New Milton Town (formerly Lymington & New
Milton) who have resigned from the Southern League. |

News Poole have signed Steve Smith - a 19 year old centre forward on Blandford United's books. He will still be eligible to play for both clubs. Carl Chivers has left Poole Town to join local rivals Hamworthy United. Carl is after regular first team football for next season and although the Club did not want to lose him, he goes with the Club's blessing. It is rumoured that defender Steve Gilbert has also crossed the bridge to join Hamworthy United. |
